What is a Notary Public? 

The position of Notary Public is the oldest legal profession.  A Notary Public is a highly trained professional who can prepare documents or authenticate existing documents for use abroad. 

 

The position of a Notary Public is a Royal Appointment made by the Archbishop of Canterbury to become an Officer of the Law.  It is a public office. 

 

  • A Notary must undertake his/her duties to the best of his/her skill and ability, he/she must act honorably in accordance with his oath/declaration.

  • A notary can help with your foreign affairs by providing identity checks. 

  • A notary will ensure your understanding of the documents.

  • A Notary will verify facts and undertake checks to ensure the documents can be relied upon by third parties.
