Sometimes notarisation is all that is required, however, some countries  have a further requirement that a notarised document has affixed to it  an apostille.  This is further authentication by the Foreign &  Commonwealth Office.  This is something I can help you obtain via a  courier service and it takes 3 – 4 days to obtain this way.  Alternatively you can apply online via The Foreign & Commonwealth Office website (www.fco.gov.uk) It is no longer possible for you to take documents personally to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office Sometimes after the apostille has been affixed it is necessary for the  document to be sent to the Embassy or Consulate of the country  concerned.  Again this is something I can assist with and we can  discuss if appropriate to your matter.  Please note that it is not always  possible to give an exact timing for the return of documents by an  Embassy/Consulate.  I am happy to discuss these options in more detail to assess which  would be the quickest and/or most cost effective depending on the  timeframe you have available.  Please Contact Me To discuss your situation or ask any questions.
